The simplest and easiest case for transferring money is because we dont know if we will ever get GCs, and our jobs are not guaranteed as we are on H1, so we can say we feel safer to keep the money back in home country than in this country and hence transfer the money.
BTW, bujjigadu123 , your visit was scheduled for last week if I am right going by your OP, can you pls let us know what happened

EAD, AP & FP notice are sent directly to the applicant. If you see the status of AP as document mailed then you should get within 2/3 days as they send by DHL. I got mine in 2 days, my wife also got in 2 days
If your attorney filed your case, then:
EAD is sent directly you
FP is sent to you and your attorney
AP is sent to your attorney.....
All these are sent by USCIS via regular mail.....
Your attorney might have sent the AP documents to you via DHL...

Most people here fail to realize the cost if immigration is very heavy at a personal level, especially in globalized economy. If we assume that average wait time for Green Card is 7-9 years (earlier it use to be 4-6 years) consier the following:
1. Professional Growth: This one takes the biggest hit. I know many people at my work who have got GC in past 4-5 years after the usual wait time, they have hit the wall in the career front. Their peak productive years when they were to rise exponentially are gone in waiting. Now most of them are lost in corporate America looking for a place where they can somehow make up for the lost years. I don't think they have found it yet. Most believe that going to home countries might help to find that niche and make up for the growth. This solution might work when the economies of Asia are growing at 8-10%.
2. Financial Growth: A lot of investment opportunities are lost becasue no one wants to make a long term invetsment commitments in the state of limbo. Besides that most households have to live on single income source making their earnings below average household income. Even after getting GC one cannot make up for this loss. This creates a permanent under class and I not sure what kinds discontent it leads to.
3. Others: Family (Spouse's professional and others) and presonal stress that one has to go through during the wating years.
I wonder if there is a study outlining these impacts. This is become all the more relevant when the standard of living and opportunites at home are closing the gap rapidly. To serve legal notice is meaningless unless he has filed a complaint in court in which case he will likely have to pay a $100 to $200 for an "index number", and then pay a few hundred for an official process server to personally serve you or only if you cannot be personally contacted do "nail and mail". That is the procedure in NY state, because I've been the plaintiff against visa sponsor (I drove him to brink of bankruptcy before I dropped the case). For $3500 it would probably be small claims court, but the procedure will be roughly the same.
Forget about the idea of him "creating documents", what are you suggesting that he forge your signature. I doubt that he has the balls to do that, because to present documents like that in court is a very serious offense. He would be putting everything he has on the line for what -- $3500 minus expenses because you cannot claim expenses in small claims court.
Sending you an email is laughable and just shows that he is either not serious or ignorant, and likely engaging in scare tactics.
I stand by my prior advice, go see local IRS customer service center. The worst that will happen is they help you to start off the official written complaint against him, and they explain what to do in absence of W2. The best that will happen is that if you explain the blackmail a customer service person will call him on your behalf and put the fear of IRS into him. I would expect that there is a high correlation between employee abuse and tax abuse, so IRS may be interested to know who the bad apples are.
Recreating records for W2 is just a few hours work if you have pay stubs and bank records. I know someone who has to do it every year. Actually I'll email him a link to this thread. He won't be able to reply for a week because he is off for a week training.

Because you are a man and you are from Mars. Men are that way .. they always live in future and somehow completely forget that its the present that they need to live fully and enjoy to the maximum extent. Women live more in present and that's why you will see very few of them stressing themselves out on these forums.
My wife always reminds me this. According to her, its ok to read forums and keep yourself updates with what's going on ... but don't get to much into it, otherwise you will loose your peace of mind.
So I have found my own way ... I am completely into these forums and no matter how hard I try I can not escape from it (you remember.. I am from Mars ... worrying about future is my nature ... so after I get my GC, I will find next topic to worry about ... may it will be abut the US economy or may be how my son's future shapes up), but at the same time I try to convert my frustration to a positive energy by thinking new ways to solve the problem, and contributing them to various forums at IV.
I think you have reached to a state, where you feel disturbed. I would recommend that contribute to IV in a positive manner .... it may be ideas, money, support, organizational work or any other thing. I think this is the only way you can recover from this GC Depression.

Early Sept. I finally got July 2nd filing receipt. I realized that my packet has traveled all the way to CA and then back again at NSC!! then last weekend Sept 15, I got an email notice that my case is back at NSC AFTER I have received a hard copy notice about the transfer...
It's a confusing process and I don't know which center is faster...

Dunno how good or bad it is and whether it sppeds up/delays my EAD processing. Anybody had experience with CSC and got any of EAD/AP/GC approved from CSC.

I read somewhere that doctors abroad who do the tests for consular processing cannot be used for AOS medicals.
u'll get RFE only if theres is a mistake in medicals, if there is NO medicals in the 485 packet, i think ur appln will be outright sent back.
whats ur PD, if its in the range of 2000 u still have hope that in next few months ur date becoems eligible for AOS.
ive heard that there are some doctors out there (of questionable integrity) who accept cash and give out medical reports. even tho this is a backdoor approach, u can make a few calls and give it a try. to make ur case more genuine, try to get a list of all attributes recorded in the blood and skin test, and get those done promptly done in india. atleast let the doctor copy over ur wifes actual stats rather than inventing it. If ur case is genuine, may be someone will be merciful to help u out of ur predicament.
Preponing visa interview without very valid reason cud be harmful. u never know, if they catch ur wife telling a lie then ull be walking on thin ice.

No lies, salary cannot be raised and people on H-4 cannot work. The article is right.
What I don't get is where they got that the Sept 18 rally will see 5000 of us attending? That's way too little guys, we need at least double that!

Too bad most of us think this rally is a waste of time. I hope they wake up and realize that doing nothing and waiting for their GCs will be an even bigger waste of time if they lose their job 3 years down the line!
What I don't get is where they got that the Sept 18 rally will see 5000 of us attending? That's way too little guys, we need at least double that!
Will we even have 5000 people??? I will be (pleasantly) surprised if we do!
