I have had 2 friends, one from my Engineering college and another who was a co-worker in SFO. The first one had joined Amway in India and the other one Quixstar in Bay Area.
Both told me that they were brainwashed by the up-line members and they were forced to go through the cds, books, and their guidelines on regular basis. This is in their own words. I am not making it up. And both of them told me that they have lost number of friends and acquaintances since they joined Quixstar/Amway.
May be it is a business that you can join to flourish and prosper. But I believe the operating mechanism of Quixstar is wrong. A group should be like - people should feel an urge within themselves to come and join and make the full use of it.
Running a business itself is not bad. But when it is run and operated by covert, hidden and superficial attitude - that's when people start to feel the repulsion.
My intention is not to attack Kushal or anybody else.
Sure with dead bobhead braincells of yours, nobody expects your self image to be high enough. Its not for wimps wearing zippers to the side like you. If you are man enough come and talk to me, and will see who gets handcuffed.

TN is just a modified H1B. You need to have an employer, your wife will be on a TD and worse, you gotta renew it every year across the border.
You need not give up your American Dream. Once you get your Canadian Citizenship, you can work in US indefinetly with TN visa.

It is major contributing factor to Eb2 and eventually EB3 retrogression. And something needs to be done to make sure that so called project managers from these IT firms from India are not able to apply in this category.
I am not sure if EB1 India cap of 3000 visas has been met already. If it was met, then they would have set a priority date for EB1 India too. Assuming that it is not being met, these project managers along with their spouses should be taking only a very small number and that shouldn't contribute much to EB2-3 retrogression numbers. So our real problem is lack of numbers for EB2 and EB3.

I know what I am about to say will trigger a lot of reaction and some resentment, but it has to be said on behalf of those who are not Indian. I think the per country limit is to ensure that people of all nationalities and races have an equal opportunity to obtain a green card and to ensure that no one nationality, group, or even sector (i.e. IT) monopolizes the so few visas that are available. In fact, in the visa lottery, countries become excluded when the number of immigrants from them reach a certain point, so we are lucky they do not do that in the Employment-based system!
I think that by wanting to remove the per country limit so more Indians can avail of the green card quota is both asking for "special treatment" and a slap in the face for all the non-Indian IV members. The more I read the threads on this site, the more I feel that this organization is geared just to one ethnic group. I am sure that Indians probably make up the majority of members, but the founders of IV (I hope) did not want this organization to become one-sided! Please be considerate of ALL members and try to come up with suggestions that would benefit ALL members!!!:mad:

Deleting this thread does not change the facts nor does IMV will gain anything out of it. The reason we even discuss these things here other than immigration is because we have immigrated and we have a common bonding.

Thanks Gopi for such a sane post, I second what you said below , a person has to be ready mentally to be approached for any business and if they are not ready then the same conversation which they might find helpful at the time when he is mentally ready would look like as a harassment when they are not mentally ready.
and that is what BWW is not doing, beside all what you said i also believe they lie to you a lot as it happened with me on several occasions, they would lie about the credentials aof theirs and theirs upline because they think people are more open to hear from persons who are more successful and thats why they lie about education and job etc..
One of the Diamonds came to my house last year and he projected that he is going to be my best friend even though i said Yes or NO.
He came to my house several times,he would call me everyday and ask me about life in general and all the while behaved as one of my best friend/brother and he disappeared with no phone call at all as soon as i said NO to my upline.
And i believe these all practices of theirs is whats turning people off.

Removal of Country caps was, is and will be one of the top agendas of IV , whether beneficiaries of a discriminatory system like you support it or not. It's morally and ethically repugnant to see discrimination based on country of birth in the 21st century. Just because it benefits some like you, it doesn't become right.
Employability has nothing to do with Country of Birth. When we are selected based on merit, skill and education by our employer, why should we suffer just because we are born in the wrong country?
It's time to throw away this last vestige of discrimination inherited from the previous centuries and move to a future where every individual is valued for what he/she is individually and not based on whether he was born in India or Sri Lanka.

Circa 2000: Furiouspride came to the US just like any other grad student on an Air India plane. He had $2000 safely tucked away into multiple travelers checks. Fast forward four months: The Fall semester was almost over and the American dream was all blurry by now. All of the IBOs had gone bankrupt and the prospects of returning to our holy motherland seemed bigger and brighter. Those past four months had flown by in buying the best toothpastes and toilet papers ever known to mankind while we went to bed empty stomach. Oh how we wished Quixtar gave us PVs for buying lunch too. Then the time for the dreaded phone call came. The millions weren't coming, so arrangements had to be made for a few thousands at least. However if it can be shown that certain citizens/corporations ( for example microsoft, google etc who also make efforts and lobby congress to change the law ) are unduly disadvantaged by this per country cap, then they can be plaintiff. So in a sense, we have allies in the corporate sector with tons of money (and who want to make more!) So they might be willing to support us,
if it is indeed found that the rule can be challenged.
Let's assume that it can not be fought within US Constitutional framework then do we have a choice to bring this to international court level? Can US prove that keeping per country immigration quota for EB categories is not a discrimination but a policy to protect its citizens or per say to protect its industry/economy?

Verify with another lawyer also, basically your experience starts only after you graduate (after getting your degree and not after finishing college ie say you completed ur degree in may 2000 and recieved your degree in Dec 2000, your experience prior to Dec 2000 may not count)

Relax and send all the documents requested by the USCIS. They might ask you for additional documents later based on what they receive from you or may approve your case.

Total I have 6 years(3 yrs bachelors + 3 yrs masters) of education/qualification in Computer Science.
My labor has been approved & in that it is mentioned, position requires Masters degree.
Do I qualify for EB2 category?
I already filled I-140 in March 2008 under EB2.

You don't want to give any credit to 'Modi' than by your logic, Chandrababu Naidu shouldn't be give credit of 'Andhra' turnaround, Vajpayee shouldn't be given credit for Infrastructure turnaround...In India Politics & Politicians are so important, until they are pro-work, nothing works. Imagine our christian friends trying to convince the jewish friends that they support Hitler because he is development pushing leader who is also church going, non smoking and that they do not support the side which actually supports rape, incarceration and murder of thousands who scrap out their living in the country. There is nothing like supporting half a person. You either support all his deeds or you dont. We or our kids will bear what we sow today.
